We're making your Barre workouts more efficient!
Longer doesn't mean better
Science shows that the effectiveness of a workout isn’t determined by how long it lasts, but by how intentional each part is. A longer class doesn’t necessarily mean a better workout — just as a longer meeting doesn’t always mean more gets accomplished (I think we have all definitely experienced this!). This is the same methodology we already use in Lab X and Mat Pilates, where 45 minutes has proven to be the sweet spot for efficiency and results.
Main workout stays the same, but we're more intentional now
When we decided to adjust our barre classes from 55 to 45 minutes, the main workout — the section that builds strength, endurance, and targeted muscle fatigue — remains exactly the same. What we adjusted were the warm-up and cool-down. Through research and testing, we found that we could achieve the same outcomes with a shorter, more intentional warm-up (focused purely on mobilization rather than a lengthy sequence) and a streamlined cool-down (focusing on effective stretches rather than stretching for the sake of it).
You'll gain 10 min of your day back, while still getting the same workout benefits!
So while the class time is shorter on paper, what you’re receiving is the same full benefit in a more efficient format — plus 10 minutes back to your day. It’s not time lost, but time gained.
